A little bit about TMFB's founder and house composer/producer                               Terence Calvert

 

As a child Terence was always into music, requesting his parents to put records on, so that he could sit for hours just listening and he is often seen in old home videos, dancing to various RnB tracks. Eventually, when starting to write his own music, he was Influenced by artists such as Frank Zappa, Roy Orbison, Django Rheinhardt and Sam Cooke, and has always aspired to produce large, harmony driven songs, yet still having the ability to never take it too seriously.

Terence's first shot at production often involved sneaking into his brothers room and making complex music with old-school analogue sounds, due to his limited knowledge of how to use the different plug-ins. This in fact worked out for the best, because since composing that first piece of chiptune, he is always striving to better his work and has never looked back.

He went on to study a Music Technology, Music Production and is currently nearing the end of a Ba in Commercial music technology.
